Some settings are general settings and are applicable for all modules in your congress.
Click on your congress via your congress list -> and click on the gear icon at Congress information to open the 'Congress settings'. The following screen appears:
GENERAL TAB
Congress Title:
Enter the title of the congress. This title is used on all printouts, invoices and confirmations. It can only be changed if your congress is setup online.
Browser title:
In the browser title you can add the text that will be shown in the tab of the internet screen when someone registers.
Start date:
Enter the starting date of the congress. The date is given as day, month and year, e.g.15/10/2026.
End date:
Enter the ending date of the congress. The date is given as day. month, year, e.g.17/10/2026.
Use split welcome screen:
Choose to split the welcome screen into three separate pages (new accounts, registered accounts and password forgotten).
Default from email address:
will automatically be used as the 'from' address in all your system and custom emails of this congress. When setting up the emails in the different modules, you can change the email address per email if needed.
Default BCC email address: will automatically be used as the 'BCC' address in all your system and custom emails of this congress. When setting up the emails in the different modules, you can change the BCC per email if needed.
Register with email address as username:
Hide the username field on the welcome screen and use email address as the username instead.
The unique email address/username can only be used once in the whole congress.
Confirm Email address:
Add a second email address field to the welcome screen of the participant and abstract modules. Eventure will check if both email addresses are the same.
Use 'reply-to' email address:
Emails will be sent with the provided email address as a 'reply-to' address instead of the from address.
Email 'from' address alias:
Add an alias to your 'from' email address, which will be displayed as the sender in a recipient's inbox. Note that not all email clients support this feature.
Use email verification:
Newly registered participants, authors, groups and session proposers will receive an email with a link to verify their email address. Once their email has been verified, they can log into their account.
Email Salutations:
This setting only applies to the old, non-responsive email templates in the 'Page editor'.
SECURITY TAB
In the security tab you can set a password which will automatically be used for all excel files you create in all modules. You can either set it here as a default or you can choose per report if a password is needed and create a different password per report.
JSON API
The JSON API tab can be used for a connection with another platform to exchange data.
CONFERENCE COMPASS TAB
On the conference compass tab you will see the info that is needed to connect the public module of your congress with the mobile app of Conference Compass.
