Via the gear icon in the 'Abstract Dashboard' you can view/edit the abstract module settings.
General tab
Via the general tab you can set a 'Module start' and 'Module deadline' date to have the module automatically be opened or closed.
Abstract tab
The abstract tab displays various settings.
Maximum number of abstracts
Here you can set a maximum number of abstract the contact person can add to the system.
If you leave the field blank, there is no maximum.
Formattable text editor abstract title
Use a text editor with various formatting options (e.g. bold, italic and underline) for the abstract title.
Advanced keyword field configuration
Allows the keyword fields to be configured as a pulldown or an auto-suggestion field.
Allow abstract withdrawal
Allow authors to withdraw their submitted abstracts that have been assigned a presentation. The abstracts will be removed from any associated sessions and/or posters.
Withdrawal email address
Receive an email on the address, informing you about any abstracts that have been withdrawn.
Author tab
Maximum number of main authors
Here you can set a maximum number of main authors per abstract. If you leave the field blank, there is no maximum.
Maximum number of co-authors
Here you can set a maximum number of co-authors per abstract. If you leave the field blank, there is no maximum.
Maximum number of presenting authors
Here you can set a maximum number of presenters per abstract. If you leave the field blank, there is no maximum.
Contact person starts as main author
The contact person is automatically marked as the main author. This can be changed when the contact person is added to the abstract.
Allow change presenting authors
Allow the contact person to change the presenting author after the abstract has been submitted.
Affiliations tab
Maximum number of affiliations
Here you can set up to 3 affiliations per (co-)author.
Share affiliations between authors
Allow authors to choose from all available affiliations, instead of only those that were added by the authors themselves.
Show affiliations
Display the affiliations after the names of the author(s) and/or co-author(s).
This affects the abstract PDF, the 'Submit' page of the abstract module and the 'View' pages of the Abstract, Review, SC and Public modules.
Show only primary affilication
Display only the first/primary affiliation afther the names of the author(s) and/or co-author(s), instead of all affilliations.
Affiliation number separator
Choose which separator you want to use between the affiliation numbers if a (co-)author has more than one affiliation.
Grant applications tab
The Grant applications tab is only visible if you have this extra module.
Allow grant applications
Allow authors to apply for a grant application. Once the abstract has been submitted, the invitation email will be sent out to the authors. They will receive a link in the email to fill in their grant application.
Max applications per abstract
Here you can set up to 5 applications per abstract.
Grant applications roles
Please check the boxes for each role for which a grant can be applied for.
