If you want to use QR codes for your participants, you must first create the content of the QR code for your congress. For example, you can add the QR code to your emails so that participants can scan it at the entrance and print a badge.
Please go to the participant module -> Standard emails & settings -> QR code -> view button.
By default, the congress code and the participant's identifier code is placed in the QR code, and the internet id is placed as normal text under the QR code. The QR code style is standard the QR code.
Another option is 'Aztec code'. These are slightly different from regular QR codes, as they are specialized for high-speed, industrial and transportation scanning and optimized to be displayed on smartphone screens.
Please note that not all scanner devices support these codes, so make sure you test them properly before using them.
Use the Edit button to make changes. If you choose 'the QR code data field, you can add the placeholders you want to use in the QR code.
In the QR code content you can add placeholders that will be printed as normal text under the QR code image.
You can configure what is placed in the QR code image. Standard it will be the congres code and identifier code. You can also choose for the congress code and internet ID. By using the custom data option, you can create your own QR code and choose from the following placeholders: first name, last name, prefix, initials, email, company, department, country, congress code, congress name, internet ID, internet ID (8 numbers - leading zeros), identifier code.
Please note: Custom QR code data is not guaranteed to be compatible with Eventure scan & print and connected applications.
Please ensure you include separators correctly in the custom QR code data.
All participants that submit after you have set up your QR code, will get this QR code layout.
Please note that if you make changes to the content of the QR code, all participants that already have the old QR need to be resubmitted to get the new layout of the QR code.
In the emails and in the badges you can add the placeholder 'Generated QR code'. This placeholder contains the QR code image as can be viewed at the participant. In the example as shown above, it will look like this for participant with internet ID 2:
