Abstracts which have been accepted for a presentation can be connected to a session. By doing so the program on the public website can be published, the abstract session data can be added to the abstractbook and of course the author can be informed about when and where he must present his abstract.
There are two options to connect an abstract to a session.
Option 1) Via the puiblic module -> sessions -> edit the session
Please follow the instructions under option 2.
Option 2) Public module -> page editor -> Scientific programme page -> edit the session to add the abstract
Click on the session in the calendar.
For both options you need to go to the 'Time slot' tab and choose for 'Edit time slots'.
Then click at the correct time slot at the 'Add abstract' button.
Select the abstract(s) you want to add in this time slot.
If you have selected more than 1 abstract, you can order them in the following screen.
Via the buttons in the bottom of the screen or by clicking on the 3 horizontal strips in front of the abstract and drag it to the right place.
When assigning abstracts to your session's timeslots, the system will automatically check if any associated presenting authors are already assigned to an overlapping timeslot and present you with a detailed warning message. You can of course ignore this warning if you wish, and assign these abstracts anyway.
Besides assigning an abstract to a time slot, you can assign a custom presentation to a session.
Use the 'Add Customs' button and the following screen will appear.
By using the 'Add links' button, you can add a link to the time slot.
Use the 'Create custom' button to add a new custom presentation to a time slot.
The following screen appears:
Choose to create a new or copy an existing custom presentation.
You can fill out the custom presentation info.
On the next page you can add a speaker. That can be a new speaker, a session leader or an existing author.
If you have more than one speaker, you can change the order.
To change the order of the speakers, drag the icon under the 'Order' column to the appropriate position in the list.
You can have abstracts, custom presentations and links in 1 time slot.
