When creating badges, you have the possibility to create event selections.
This feature allows you to group multiple of your registration events together and place them in your own desired order. You can then add new placeholders to the design of your badge, displaying aspects like the code, title or location of one or more registration events of a participant, filtered by one of these groups.
For example, your participants can choose 2 social events out of 5.
You can group together all of your social events, order them by date and time, and then display the title of the first and second chosen social events of each participant.
Create a new event selection group
Please click on the 'Setup event selection' button in the blue badges menu.
By default, the 'ALL' event selection group is always availalble and includes all registration events.
This default group cannot be deleted.
Use the 'Add group' button to add a new event selection group. Enter a unique group name and group code. This code will appear on the badge design as part of the placeholder object text. The code of an existing group cannot be changed.
After you have saved your new group, you can use the icon to quickly view the events in this group in the order which you have posted them.
Use the event selection groups on your badge
In your badge click on the 'Event placeholder' and choose 'Registration event selection'.
In the following screen is an example of how to set up the placeholder.
With the 'Registration event data' pulldown, you can select which part of the event you want to print. You can choose from code, title, number booked, location, date and time.
The 'Event selection group' pulldown lists the default 'ALL' and all your created groups.
WIth the 'Booked registration event in group' pulldown you can choose which choosen event of the group should be printed.
In the example, we use '1st Event', which means that the first event from this group that the participant has chosen is printed.
The 'Preview' section, you can see what the placeholder looks like.
