Eventure uses additional macros in Word for several functions, such as merging and mailing Confirmations via Word and merging the abstract book.
To use these functions, there are a couple of steps to take in Word:
1. Enable macros in Word Trust Center
2 Verify Macro's in Word
3. Add macro's to Word
1. Enable macros in Word Trust Center
To check the macro security in Word go to the 'File' tab and click on 'Options'
Now open 'Trust Center' and click on 'Trust Center Settings'.
Set the security to the lowest level: 'Enable all macros'. If this setting is higher, Eventure macros will not work.
2. Verify macro’s in Word
To verify the macro's in Word, click on View -> Macro’s -> View Macros.
If the list is empty or it doesn't contain macros beginning with Eve or EVE, no macros are set on the computer for Eventure and the merge of letters and e-mails will not work.
It may also contain other macros.
3. Add Macro’s to Word
Go to the EVWDATA folder and open the file 'macro_eve.txt'. Copy all the text in the file. (CTRL + A then Ctrl + C).
Please use the following file if you are working in the cloud and don't have a c-drive '\EVWDATA\macro_eve - no c-drive.txt'.
Tip: If you cannot find the EVWDATA folder, look in the Main Module in Eventure in the menu Info -> Eventure support and at System Information -> Data folder.
To add macros in Word, click in Word again on the View tab -> Macros -> Macros display. Macro name, type in: Eventure and then click Create.
Select the text from 'Eventure Sub' to 'End Sub' and paste (CTRL + V) the text we just copied in it. Now the macros are in Word.
Replace the above code, the code from the file macro_eve.txt
Click on to return back to Word. Close Word and try again to merge in Eventure. Now it works to combine / merge letters and sending e-mails with Word.
