Before you can setup the session proposal module, you first need to activate it.
After clicking on the 'Activate module' button, you need to confirm to activate the module.
Via the module settings you can set a 'Module start' and 'Module deadline' date to have the module automatically be opened or closed.
Allow open session proposals checkbox
Use the checkbox 'Allow open session proposals' to allow proposers to create an open session proposal. Authors can register themselves for this session in the abstract module.
Allow closed session proposals checkbox
Use the checkbox 'Allow closed session proposals' to allow proposers to create a closed session proposal, including abstract and author proposals. Authors can be invited to finish their submissions.
Multiple proposal submits checkbox
Use the checkbox 'Multiple proposal submits' to allow proposers to make changes to their session proposals after the initial submission.
Maximum number of session proposals per session proposer
You can set a max number of session proposals per session proposer.
Allow abstract proposals checkbox
Use the checkbox 'Allow abstract proposals' to allow proposers to add abstract and author proposals to their closed session proposals.
Maximum number of abstract proposals per session proposal
You can set a max number of abstract proposals per session proposal.
Allow session leader proposals checkbox
Use the checkbox 'Allow session leader proposals' to add session leader proposals to their open and/or closed session proposals. Once accepted, these session leaders will become available in the public module.

Allow custom presentation proposals (open) checkbox
Use the checkbox 'Allow custom presentation proposals (open)' to allow proposers to add custom presentation proposals to their open session proposals. Once accepted, these custom presentations will be available in the public module.

Use the checkbox 'Allow custom presentation proposals (closed)' to allow proposers to add custom presentation proposals to their closed session proposals. Once accepted, these custom presentations will be available in the public module.

The 'Abstract Data Fields' tab of the proposal module content page displays all of the visible abstract fields of the abstract module that are displayed on your proposal website. Only the fields are shown which are visible in your abstract module.
In order to change the visible fields setting, simply click on the 'Edit' button and use the checkboxes to determine which fields are visible to your proposers.

Free selection 1 and 2.
A free selection item is a multiple choice checkbox field.
You can create 'Free selection items' via the module settings of the session proposal module. This is where you set the answers your session proposers can choose from.
Via the 'Add free selection 1' button you can add a new option in the list.
Use the 'Import' button to create a template and import the options.
Use the 'Export' button to export your options to an excel file.
The following screenshot shows an example of what the session proposer sees when he/she chooses from the options of the free selection items.
You can delete a free selection item if it is not yet used by any session proposals. To do this, open the free selection item and click the red 'Delete' button.
