From now on, the Excel files you can download in the online application will always be in the XLSX format, although you will still be able to upload Excel files in XLS format. There is one exception, which is the AbstractsByTopic.xls.
Furthermore, the Excel templates have been changed in the following ways:
The allowed values sheet will now make use of the texts on your website. For example, if you have the options "Male" and "Female" you can simply add those values to your sheet, rather than "m" and "f", however older Excel templates containing such values will still be accepted by the system.
The first row of your Excel template will now contain default values for the "allowed values" fields, along with dropdowns containing all the available values.
Now you can simply choose the correct value from this dropdown list, select your cell and finally drag the cell down in order to apply this value to other cells. Each of these newly created cells will then also contain the dropdown with allowed values, allowing you to easily move down the list and assign the correct value to each row.
