You have the ability to create your own calendar items (in .ics format) that you can attach to your system emails and custom mailings, allowing you to easily invite your recipients to a congress at a certain date, time and place. This congress can then be added to the recipient's calendar in email clients such as Google Mail and Outlook.
You can create and/or edit these invitations on the 'Calendar Items' tab of the Mailing page of any module, after which you can attach them to any of your email templates. To do this, please click the 'Edit' button of the desired email template, then select one or more calendar items from the list. When said email template is sent out, the calendar items will automatically be added to this email as attachments.
Please be aware that these invitations are shared accross all of your modules, so any item created in the Participant module can also be used in your Abstract module.
You have to add an ICS file to your submission email.
1) Go to the participant module -> Mailings -> Calendar items.
2) Choose 'Add Calendar item' and fill in the screen.
3) You can add the calendar item to all emails in this congress, also in the abstract module.
In the example we will add it to the submission mail of the participant module.
Go to the participant module -> Mailings -> edit the submission email.
4) You will see the calendar items option. Please check the box(es) of the item(s) you want to attach to the email.
5) Send a preview email to yourself to test it.
You can also forward the mail to your hotmail/gmail/yahoo to see if you can save it in your phone calendar.
