STEP 1. Check the macros in the letter in Word
- Open the confirmation via Word or the letter via Eventure
- In Word click 'View' > 'Macros' > 'View Macros' or press ALT+F8
- Select the macro 'Eventure' and select documentname.doc (document) from the 'Macros in' dropdown. Click on 'Edit'.
- Open the file attached to this article, macro_eve.txt. Select all the text with CTRL+A copy all the content with CTRL+C.
- Select all the text in the Microsoft Visual Basic screen with CTRL+A and paste with CTRL+V.
- Close the Microsoft Visual Basic screen
- Save and close the Word document
STEP 2A. Create a new Letter
- Create a new Letter via 'Basic Data' > 'Letters'
- Go to step 3.
STEP 2B. Create a new Confirmation via Word letter
- Open your adapted Confirmation via Word via Eventure
- Save conflet.doc at, for example, your desktop (as a backup)
- Close the document
- Delete the confirmation via Word from the 'List Confirmations'
- Create a new confirmation letter
- Go to step 3
STEP 3. Merge the letter or confirmation via Word
- Without your adapted text and images/logos, try to merge or e-mail this new letter. If this doesn't work, please go to step 4;
- If the merge is ok, please open your old adapted confirmation letter on your desktop or edit your adapted letter via Eventure and copy/paste only the text in your new letter;
- Try to merge or e-mail the letter;
- If the merge is ok, please repeat this with images and logos;
STEP 4. Remove the Eventure macros in Word
- Close all Word files that are open and start Microsoft Word from your computer (not from Eventure)
- In Word click 'View' > 'Macros' > 'View Macros' or press ALT+F8
STEP 5. Edit the TEMP location in the macro
When your TEMP folder is located somewhere else than at C:\TEMP, but C:\TEMP still exists this can cause problems.
Delete this location from the Eventure, EVEPDF and EVEMAIL macro can solve this problem.
- Open the confirmation Word or the letter via Eventure
- In Word click 'View' > 'Macros' > 'View Macros' or press ALT+F8
- Select the macro 'Eventure' and select documentname.doc (document) from the 'Macros in' dropdown. Click on 'Edit'
- In the Eventure, EVEPDF and EVEMAIL macro delete the code as marked in the image below
